Privacy Policy

Information We Collect

FloofOnly does not collect personal information such as your name, email, or device ID. The only data in the app is what you create:

Pet Information

• Pet profiles: name, type, breed, gender, birth date, microchip ID
• Pet photos you select from your photo library

Health & Wellness Data

• Meal, water, and activity logs
• Weight history
• Vaccination and vet visit records
• Grooming records
• Medication names, dosages, and schedules
• Pet-related expenses

App Preferences

• Display settings (language, appearance, units)
• Notification preferences and reminder times

How Your Data Is Stored

All data is stored locally on your device, protected by your device’s built-in data protection. If you have iCloud enabled, your data is automatically synced to your personal iCloud account using Apple CloudKit. This keeps your data in sync across your Apple devices. We do not access your iCloud data.

Pet photos are compressed and stored alongside your pet profile data, both locally and in iCloud if enabled.

How Your Data Is Used

Your data is used solely to provide the app’s features:

• Tracking your pets’ meals, water, activity, and health
• Sending local reminders for meals, water, walks, medications, and appointments
• Displaying daily progress in widgets and Siri Shortcuts
• Generating health reports (PDF export)
• Managing your subscription

Permissions We Request

All permissions are optional. The app works without granting any of them.

• Photo Library: Used to select photos for pet profiles. We only access photos you specifically choose, never your full library. Photos are stored locally and in your iCloud if sync is enabled.
• Notifications: Used to send local reminders for meals, water, walks, medications, vaccinations, vet visits, and grooming. All notifications are generated and scheduled on your device. We do not use push notification servers.

Siri & Widgets

FloofOnly integrates with Apple system features:

• Siri Shortcuts: Pet names and basic log data are shared with Siri to enable voice commands. This data is managed by Apple’s Shortcuts framework.
• Home Screen Widgets: Widgets display your pet’s name and daily progress. Widget data is shared between the app and widget extension on your device.

Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, or transmit your data to any third party.

• No analytics or tracking SDKs are used
• No advertising networks are integrated
• No data is sent to external servers

The only services involved are Apple’s own services:

• Apple CloudKit — iCloud sync and app feature configuration, controlled by your device settings
• Apple StoreKit — subscription processing, handled entirely by Apple
• Apple Siri and Shortcuts — pet names shared for voice commands

Subscriptions

Subscriptions are processed entirely through Apple’s App Store. We do not collect or store any payment information, billing details, or account credentials. Subscription status is verified locally using Apple’s StoreKit framework. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your device’s Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions.

Notifications

All notifications are scheduled locally on your device. We do not use push notification servers. You can configure or disable all notifications in the app’s settings.

Data Export

Pro subscribers can generate PDF health reports containing pet profiles, all logs, health records, medications, and weight history. These reports are generated entirely on your device and shared at your discretion (for example, with your veterinarian). We never see or access exported files.

Your Choices & Data Deletion

You are in complete control of your data:

• Photo Access: Optional. The app requests access only when you add a pet photo. You can revoke access in iOS Settings at any time.
• iCloud Sync: Controlled by your device’s iCloud settings. Disable CloudKit sync for this app in Settings › [Your Name] › iCloud.
• Notifications: All reminders are configurable and can be disabled individually or entirely.
• Delete Individual Items: Swipe to delete any log, record, or schedule within the app.
• Delete a Pet: Removing a pet also deletes all its associated logs, schedules, medications, and expenses.
• Delete All Data: Use the “Delete All Data” option in Settings to permanently erase all data from your device and iCloud, including all logs, preferences, and notifications.
• Uninstall: Deleting the app removes all local data from your device.

Children’s Privacy

FloofOnly is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app does not require account creation, sign-up, or any personal identifiers.

Data Security

Your data is protected by:

• iOS device encryption — all local data is protected by your device’s built-in hardware encryption
• iCloud encryption — data encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple
• No remote access — we do not access your data
• No user accounts — no passwords, credentials, or email addresses to leak
• App Transport Security — all network communications use encrypted HTTPS

GDPR Compliance (EU Users)

For users in the European Union and European Economic Area:

• Data Controller: We act as the data controller. However, since all data is stored on your device and your personal iCloud account, we do not process or access your data.
• Right to Access: All your data is visible and accessible within the app at all times.
• Right to Deletion: Full data deletion is available in the app’s settings.
• Right to Portability: Export your data as a PDF health report.
• Data Transfer: iCloud transfers are governed by Apple’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act. We do not collect, sell, or share any personal information. Your CCPA rights are fully protected by our privacy-first architecture.

International Users

FloofOnly is available worldwide. All data is stored on your device or in your personal iCloud account, which may be hosted in a regional Apple data center. We do not transfer or process any data internationally because we do not have access to your data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
